Did the Tea Party Kill JFK?
Politico Magazine ^ | November 20, 2013 | Rich Lowry

For all these years, they’ve hidden the truth about the Kennedy assassination.

It didn’t require a conspiracy. It just took repeating a falsehood until it was accepted as conventional wisdom. The myth about the Kennedy assassination is that President John F. Kennedy, at great personal risk, traveled to Dallas a.k.a. the City of Hate, and was somehow murdered by an atmosphere of intolerance. The truth is that he was shot by a communist.

As James Piereson writes in his brilliant book Camelot and the Cultural Revolution, liberals had the choice after the assassination to make Kennedy a martyr to civil rights or admit that he was a casualty of the Cold War. They found the notion of Kennedy dying for racial progress much more congenial and useful, even though it depended on a rank distortion.

The misdirection, as Piereson points out, began in the immediate aftermath of Lee Harvey Oswald’s act of murder. A New York Times headline intoned, “Why America Weeps: Kennedy Victim of Violent Streak He Sought to Curb in the Nation.” Earl Warren, the chief justice of the Supreme Court, blamed “the hatred and bitterness that has been injected into the life of our nation by bigots.”(continued)

I’m suggesting that Earl Warren, the chief justice of the Supreme Court was a bigot.

We have another couple of days of attempts to revise history, particularly by libtards who have penned crappy books.

I’m sure I heard on the news and from my parents that Lee Harvey Oswald was a communist who had recently come back from Russia...

Dallas, Public and Private: Aspects of an American City by Warren Leslie (New York: Grossman, 1964)--an early effort to "Palin-ize" Dallas.

Dallas 1963 by Bill Minutaglio and Steven L. Davis (New York: Twelve, 2013)--the latest effort to "Palin-ize" Dallas.

The other night, there was a “documentary” on PBS hosted by the Hollywood lib George Clooney.

It was called “Secrets of the Dead: The JFK Assassination.”

The show started with an aerial view of the Dallas area as it looked fifty years ago, with Clooney talking about segregation in Dallas and how many residents were angry with JFK for being too soft with the Russians.

No mention, of course, of Oswald being an avowed Marxist.

Another documentary on public television the other night went into great detail about Oswald and his fascination with socialism/communism, his life in Russia, etc. This two-hour program was far more accurate about Oswald and his belief system. It’s called, “Who Was Lee Harvey Oswald?”

of course, the Tea Party shot Lincoln too.

Tea party bombed Pearl harbor with the help of the Japanese.

It’s also a working theory that the Tea party was a party to the mass extinction of the dinosaurs.

But...but...but...Earl Warren was a Republican so he must have been a great guy? Right? /s

The reality is that some of the most destructive decisions were handed down during the reign of Warren.

Well, they tried to blame Texas, but Oswald was a Lucy-Anna native and only spent a few years of his life in Texas. Maybe we should start calling New Orleans the “City of Hate”?

Two things no one in the news ever mention.

One, JFK was a life member of the NRA.

Two, Oswald was a communist.

Actually many of Oswald's opinions (such as they were) were shaped over in Minsk. He lived a number of places while growing up and went to a dozen different schools, from New York to Dallas to Irving to Fort Worth and New Orleans before dropping out in the ninth grade. I'm not a conspiracy nut and thus I've concluded that this mixed-up Marxist acted alone in the assassination.

Off topic a bit, I do get a kick out of the title of a column in a weekly tabloid here in our town.

...which leads, of course, to this classic:

And for Dallas residents there's always Mayor Pro-Tem Dwaine Caraway honoring Oswald's contributions with a celebratory Key to the City ($1 to the Unticket):

Not only was Earl Warren a republican, so was Arlan Specter who served on the Warren Commission.

But wait...there's more from Gordo of our dear Dwaine:

For those not from here, it all traces back to when ol' Dwaine really (no kidding) presented an honorary key to our fair town to dog killer Michael Vick.
