Dozens of leading news organizations protested to the White House on Thursday against restrictions that sometimes keep journalists from taking pictures and video of President Barack Obama performing official duties. At the same time, two press groups urged their members to stop using official photos and video handed out by the White House, dismissing them as little more than "government propaganda."
The news organizations' letter to White House press secretary Jay Carney detailed a number of recent examples in which photographers weren't allowed to cover presidential events that were deemed "private" by administration officials - even though the White House indicated their newsworthiness by releasing its own photos of the same events.
"As surely as if they were placing a hand over a journalist's camera lens, officials in this administration are blocking the public from having an independent view of important functions of the executive branch of government," the letter states, adding that the restrictions imposed by the Obama White House represent a major break from the practices of past administrations.

so they spend six years defending his, covering for him, blaming others for his mistakes and calling everyone racist who dared to speak his name.. They covered up for the most secretive administration ever, the administration that has sought out and prosecuted both leakers and the media and has been intimidating opposition media for years while they all cheered. and now they’re upset he won’t give them more access?
I think they are annoyed at being aced out of kissing the marxist’s butt.
Caliph Baraq is just trying to help out his MSM supporters.
He understands the media is on a long slow fade and faces financial problems.
They can eliminate a bunch of expensive private sector photogs and camera people and technicians, and use the taxpayer funded official media offered.
That would be a great name for a ping-list of when the media actually gets it right. (and I would be willing to bet, it would be low volume.)

The press urinated on their 1st Amendment right in 2008 and 2012 by covering for this incompetent punk. All they want now are glamor shots of their hero. The damage being done by this administration could not happen without the the implicit support of the media.
To hell with them.
They must accept that the press is not something that you are, but something that you do. And they have not been doing it for a long time. Yes they have been enablers for a corrupt administration and most of them are not worthy to be called the press. The media needs to examine itself and move to purge it unhealthy news as showbiz approach and return to serious journalism.

What's the big deal now? Why should Obama change how he treats the press?
Does the press think Obama should change because they've discovered he played them for fools? Obama's known that all along.
I would bet they will ignore this bit of news too...

I must be dreaming, either that or O did something to really piss these guys off.
The press created this monster. Now they are shocked it has turned on them. Screw them. I have zero sympathy.
