Didn’t EMK also show up short to pay his bills too? Those who “took” EMK to lunch always paid. It was the price for being with the popular liberal celebrity.
Edwin Washington Edwards of LA is also known for having his “guests” pay the tab. Supposedly a big joke was made when he once appeared at his own expense to honor a friend.
The “common man”, bless his heart, is the epitome of the “low-information voter”; yet Rush says, and he did again this week, that he has full confidence in “the people of this country.” I guess he has to say that to stay on the air.
Yeah, no surprise that they don’t pay. Recall the 2006 Senate campaign in NY, when Hillary infamously not only didn’t pay for her lunch at a diner, but stiffed the waitress on a tip as well.
And Bill was the biggest freeloader of all at meals.
Oh, well.
