On Thursday, Fox News Ed Henry tweeted that MSNBC hosts Ed Schultz and Lawrence ODonnell, as well as Ezra Klein of the Washington Post and Fox News Juan Williams, had been invited for a private off-the-record chat with President Obama. Obamas signature program, Obamacare, has been flailing in the press for weeks, and Obama apparently believes that it is about time to reshift the narrative:

I wouldn’t bet on that statement.
This is called “TRANSPARENCY”!
Dictator Obama
Remember when Mrs. Maury Povich (aka Connie Chung) asked Newt Gingrich’s mother “off the record” what Newt thought of Hillary Clinton?
These guys would help Obama erase the tapes.
Do you mean, Juan “Goebbels” Williams?
Off the record ?
Given that Ed Schultz was in attendance and his ratings are in the tank, I would not be surprised if he discloses much of what was discussed in order to build credibility among his dying audience.
Uh, sorry, but you don’t have to “woo” the willing.
Pray tell, exactly how does one woo a group of prostitutes?
Are all these reporters in the running to become Obama’s Joseph Goebbels?
Thank You. That is a known and no payment was involved.
Quit saying Obamacare!
So you’re accusing JuanWilliams of being capable of “strategy.”? This bunch is pretty much limited to lint balls and navel gazing. My jaws hurt.
This sort of things works...or used to work...when dealing with abstract news.
Joe The Plumber gives the benefit of the doubt to the newsie spin when the talking heads are talking about some problem in a far off land, for example.
...but 0bamacare isn’t a problem in a far off land. It isn’t abstract.
0bamacare is *directly* impacting Americans.
You can’t spin that.
Insurance policies in the millions have been and will be cancelled.
You can’t spin that.
The 0bamacare website has already facilitated identity theft for those who have signed up.
You can’t spin that.
The 0bamacare website doesn’t have a mechanism to pay insurance companies for the premium from each enrollee.
You can’t spin that when someone thought they were enrolled, only to learn that their policy was not activated (because of no payment from Healthcare.gov).
...but egos are involved. The White House doesn’t want to pull the plug on their “signature” program (even though no one cared enough about it to oversee its implementation).
Instead, they want to “spin”, patch, and kick the can down the road...a strategy that worked for them in the past (when dealing with more abstract issues).
They aren’t clever enough to see the difference this time.
They don’t realize that their spin only drags out and worsens their political environment each day that 0bamacare remains on life support.
So be it. Senator Cruz tried to kill it. If they had let him kill 0bamacare, it would have saved the Democratics’ political dominance. The public wouldn’t have seen it fail firsthand.
If Cruz had won, the American people would have been saved from 0bamacare’s failures, and Democrats would have been able to treat 0bamacare as an abstract event. Spinnable.
Too bad.
Now 0bamacare is no longer abstract. It’s real. It’s firsthand.
Can’t spin that.
Life is good.
But I want to warn you of something, or remind you if you already knew:
We are dealing with a Malignant Narcissist. If he feels boxed in, he WILL lash out at the public. Disruptions, disorder, suspensions of rights, and even mass deaths will result.
Good Book Material Laz! Truth is stranger than Fiction.
‘Show me your friends andI’ll tell you what you are”.
All Rumpswabs !!!
I wish Juan Williams would admit he’s an ignorant, lying, running-dog hack. His stupidity and blind obedience to Obama are infuriating.
As they exited the White House I would bet there wasn’t a dry pair of pants among them.
