About 70% of the healthcare signups in KY are going into Medicade, last time I checked.
Wash Post is missing the political math of ACA. How many will benefit and how many will be screwed to provide the benefit? I think more people will be screwed and less will benefit financially. Dumping it all on Medicaid is no help because the system will financially implode. The elderly already on it will be pissed. Add to that the ones who lost their individual policies and ones soon to lose their employer policies, while others in unions get taxed for their cadillac plans. The backlash will be great, and sadly the poor in this country will bear the brunt of it. Tough to be generous when the economy is in recession. That is how things are. Illegal immigrants will be next.
According to the state website, 82% of the enrollment has been for Medicaid coverage.
