Our strategy is to head off the efforts by the GOP establishment to make Ted Cruz "radioactive." Given that Matt Bevin just completely blew out McConnell in a Kentucky Republican straw poll, perhaps those fears are overblown media creations.

Could be, however, it doesn't hurt in this scenario to be safe and double-down against the likes of Karl Rove and the GOP-E.
We need to destroy their base of power AND defend those standing with us like Ted Cruz, Mike Lee, etc.
