Just over 100 rds of ammunition?!!!

Wow. That’s pathetic.

10K rds is a more comfortable number.

you are dealing with reporters whose stories are ALL cleared through NYC. (with NYC ignorance)

Reporters are so stupid they did not realize the magazines are reloadable.

Reporters are so stupid they belief all states are are tyranical as NYC with regards to registration.

Note too, that the caliber is never specified but it is implied that the ammo is 5.56mm for the AR15. One of the 5 handguns could have been a 22LR and the ammo just two measly boxes of 22LR. Also, even if it was 100rds + of 5.56mm, that's just about half the basic load for an infantryman to even think about staying alive in a firefight. He didn't even have the full complement of magazines to accommodate the ammo without refilling one. Assuming it was a 30 rd magazine. When I was on active duty all of our issued mags were 20rds. We kept six fully loaded in our pouches and the rest in the rucksack for reloads as required. Doesn't sound like he was ready to go postal.
