Nothing is “sacred”, really, unless God makes it sacred to you in a real way. I don’t believe it matters what era you live in. Yes, life is generally better if society has even a sham form of godliness and plays by “rules”, but when disintegration comes “what can be shaken will be shaken”. I’m preaching my own funeral here, lol, but we each have to call on the name of The Lord and be made whole to live as those “seated with Christ” in whatever time we find ourselves in this present evil age.

Jesus is the Way, and every other way is not. Have a blessed Thanksgiving!

My family has never been religious; while we do celebrate Thanksgiving and Christmas, it’s always been in an entirely secular manner. I suspect this is becoming the case with most families in America.
