I not only hope they catch the perp, but throw the book at them, even if the Amish decline to press charges. This type of crap is inexcusable.

Yeah, if you travel the road in Amish country, the horse and buggies will sometimes slow things down. So what? Take a different route if you're in a hurry. The Amish were there first.

I've also found most of them to be extraordinarily polite. They will pull off the road when it is wide enough and let gas powered vehicular traffic pass them. Give them a friendly nod, smile or wave when they do. They want to be good neighbors and almost always are.
