China media identifies Japan as 'prime target' of Beijing's air zone

China's official media pointedly said Friday that Japan is the "prime target" of Beijing's newly declared air control zone over the East China Sea, warning that China is willing to engage in "a protracted confrontation with Japan."

China's declaration of its Air Defense Identification Zone (ADIZ), announced last week, has sparked strong resistance from Japan, the United States, South Korea and other neighboring Asian nations. The new zone partly overlaps those of South Korea and Japan.

The U.S. flew two B-52 bombers through the Chinese zone without informing China this week. South Korea and Japan followed suit. In response, China sent several fighter jets and an early warning aircraft on patrol Thursday into the disputed air space.

In an editorial titled "Japan prime target of ADIZ tussle," the official Global Times newspaper said, "We should carry out timely countermeasures without hesitation against Japan when it challenges China's newly declared ADIZ."

"If Tokyo flies its aircraft over the zone, we will be bound to send our planes to its ADIZ," the editorial said.

"If the trend continues, there will likely be friction and confrontations and even tension in the air like in the Cold War era between the U.S. and the Soviet Union," it said.

"It is therefore an urgent task for China to further train its air force to make full preparation for potential conflicts," the editorial said.

"We are willing to engage in a protracted confrontation with Japan. Our ultimate goal is to beat its willpower and ambition to instigate strategic confrontation against China," it said.

Hey Bathhouse Barry, the Chinese just fired one across your bow. They want "protracted confrontation" with Japan. I think you should probably turn off ESPN and go tell President Jarrett.

Like we did not know that Japan was a prime target when they declared a zone over Japanese islands.

Obama will carefully evaluate what course of action hurts the US the most and serves Obama politically, and that is the course he wll take.

To the Chinese: May I make a heart felt request? Please, let's not scare the Japanese into going nuclear. It will be bad for EVERYONE, not just you, Hu.

Maybe Uncle Vlad will step in and save Barry's bacon one more time.

As a gesture of “good faith,” he'd be willing to negotiate a compromise between the parties.

Since our Noble Prize-winning president is incompetent and incapable.

China needs a war to keep her unhappy peasants in line— They need the unity of a foreign war against a hated enemy (Japan) to keep the people hard at work. Not a long war—that would interupt trade, but a good short war and a quick victory. They would be wrong to think Japan would bow down without a bloody fight—But they may think Japan has lost her Samuri spirit and now is a land of mind numb video players—who love their stuff over their Emperor. Maybe they are wong—maybe right. A quick, invasion, seize the islands, maybe a naval battle or two and the UN (with Obama’s America leading the way) will end the war in three weeks. Russia and the world will not get involved. North Korea will keep South Korea in check. taiwan will sit on her hands (or root for Red China). The War will change forever the dynamic of Asia—and show China as the true master of this part of the world. Advise to Japan: start learning to speak Chinese. Obama will do nothing to stop this new imperialism—what can he do? What if China stops buying our debt? Or worse—calls in our loans. I bet China has slipped Obama and his Cronies a great deal of cash under the table—just a hunch on that.

That Chinese Naval ship would not be there unless it was with Obama’s blessings.

China is becoming more bellicose. They have an imbalance of the sexes and excess men of military age. We in the west are decadent and weak. So are the Japanese. The time is right for China to flex its muscles and claim leadership in Asia. I don’t know how well the Japs would do in a short war with China, but I do know that our current leadership is too chicken to come to their aid if China attacks. We live in interesting times.

The simpleton ChiComm apes wouldn’t last 10 minutes in an air battle against Japan.

The ChiComm apes, who can’t produce a socket set that lasts more than a week out of the box, need to study how to make steel.

We’re dealing with a 19th century bunch of idiots in ChiComm China.
