I hope the GOP doesn’t take that bait. As much as I would like to see that play out, it won’t. The GOP needs to focus on winning elections. Conservatives need more Republican victories of any sort before they can start to implement an agenda.
boehner is democrat... redundant I know!
“If just 20% of the republicans who voted for Romney...”
If a RINOmney voter tried to recruit me to vote for their next favored RINO, it would have no currency with me.
“Yet at least 13 of the 22 Republicans on the panel have threatened or hinted at impeachment of Obama, his appointees or his allies in Congress.”
That is right on the spot.
When there is an impeachment it would have to be a wholesale, wide reaching impeachment and include mot just Obama, but Biden, all the judges that Obama has appointed and every all of Obama’s supporters in the House and Senate.
There Republicans calling for such action are on the right track.

Unless there is an OVERWHELMING turnover in the Senate, allowing for a margin of at least 60 votes for removal after impeachment, this proposal is going nowhere.
But by properly drumming on the inadequacies of the incumbent Democrats up for re-election in the Senate, and simultaneously both retaining every Republican seat while simultaneously enforcing an unheard-of level of party discipline, such a margin COULD be realized.
Of course, the remaining Democrats may have such a scare thrown into them, some of them might even go straight, and actually do the job they were elected to carry out, to protect and defend the US Constitution.
Enter unicorns and rainbows, with fountains of lemonade bubbling up.
There is less chance of a conviction in the Senate than Iran dropping a nuke on DC tomorrow. We will not get rid of this enemy agent in the White House by impeachment and it will completely divert from the various issues that are causing a slow bleed on the left.
What do you think the chances are of that happening?
The point of my example is that a 20% recruitment on behalf of everyone who made the effort to vote would bring more than 70million votes next time. There has never been a number even close to approaching that. But, what's more important is the residual effect. Ever recruited conservative means one more vote the media and liberals will not get and it creates the opportunity that the person recruited will influence others down the road.
We are up against a powerful army of media and an education system that works full time turning young people against America and far too many people give it no interest.
It didn’t work with Clinton - because of the Senate ...
DC really needs to be disinfected.
Impeachment is the only choice left. It may take til 2014 before it starts rolling, but by that time things will be so FUBAR that even Dems will be on board.
“Conservatives who voted for Romney had no choice.”
Sure they did. Example. In my state, RINOmney lost by about +9 million votes. To not vote for RINOmney didn’t matter at all. I don’t know of any states where the margins were so tight that a single vote would have swung the election. To say you have no choice is to admit you are as much a part of the RINO Plantation as the black Americans are a part of the Democrat Plantation.
“In spite of his soft leanings on some issues he is a genuinely good man”
And you know him personally enough to vouch for him? Or do you just believe the hundreds of millions of dollars of PR he put out over 5 years to get the nomination?
I do not know if he is a good man or not. That is irrelevant to whether he was a good candidate, or would have been a good POTUS.
His “soft leanings”, flip flopping and cultic involvement were all factors to various conservatives who were uninspired by RINOmney - ney, repulsed by him. If they did not vote for him, it is because they were served what they perceived as a crap sandwich and didn’t want to swallow it. Now you want to go to them and tell them that you voted for RINOmney and you have a new guy they should vote for? I don’t think it works that way - or you are perhaps thinking that you will recruit mindless lemmings, instead of the conservatives who thoughtfully rejected RINOmney?
“...and America would have been far better off today had he been elected.. “
First, theoretical. We’ll never know what violence he would have visited on our country that the republicans would have felt obligated to support. He believed in much of the same liberal claptrap that Zero did, including state run healthcare.
I think that if this recruitment is your plan, you will have a tough go of it...

Do it. Impeach him.
Then shut the government down again until Reid agrees to a House passed budget.
Even if it means the government is shut down until after the next set of elections...
I know exactly what I’m saying and it will work if, a big “if”, the GOP can maintain an upright posture minus their spine...
Professor Jonathan Turley, no conservative by any stretch of the imagination, had some pretty stiff language about the responsibility of the Congress to maintain their critical role in the balance of powers defined by the founders during yesterday’s hearings.
As for Dana what’s his face of the Washington Post, I’m getting sick of being called rabid. In my day only dog catchers and doctors were qualified to discuss that condition, and now it is required of left wing enabler’s of the presidency of democrats. So, Dana, be careful that someone of the conservative movement don’t bite your ass.
If we get the senate back next year they can impeach and remove the guy. Of course that’s if the POS hasn;t declared martial law and kicked off a revolution.
Republicans are not going to be on record as having impeached both black presidents. This one is untouchable.
Sorry.
