I agree. It would only take two shots to the head with a .22.
In this picture, it looks like at least about 300 shots to the car with a .223 or 5.45 and they got him from at least two sides, the right side probably with a belt fed machine gun.
I would be shocked if he didn't have north of 50 holes in him not just 5. Maybe they only bothered to count the ones to the head and throat? The rest would have been practically impossible to get an accurate count. He would have looked like a clothed large package of hamburger.
