Had a Great Thanksgiving. My son and his wife were here with my 2 yr old Grandson. We had 3 generations of SandRats together plus my daughter and my Granddaughter.

That is as it should be. I have many fond memories of Thanksgiving dinners with family, going back to 1950, when I was little more than an infant.
One of my earliest memories of Thanksgiving Dinner was from Thanksgiving, 1952 - my father was back home from Korea and my Uncle Jack Dowd was out of hospital after having been WIA. He glared across the table at me and said that if I didn't eat my potatoes I'd be court-martialed. My great-grandmother intervened and I was spared.
Years later, my Uncle Jack became the most important influence in my life other than my Father.

O stranger, tell the Lacedaemonians that we lie here, obedient to their command.
Listen, O isles, unto me; and hearken, ye people, from far; The LORD hath called me from the womb; from the bowels of my mother hath he made mention of my name. (Isaiah 49:1 KJV)
