What I can’t understand is why some progressive icon like Soros or Bill Gates doesn’t start an “ethical” fast food franchise and pay the counter employees $15/hr with gold plated benefits.

Wouldn’t all the Democrats flock to a place like that for a $10 burger?

Give it to them. Let them learn the same lessons over and over again. Run the wages up and watch the fast food prices rise (they’re cheaper then buying healthy food at the grocery store), then watch the new raised minimum wage earners start griping about the cost of a #4 non-supersized.

I read a story recently about a bunch of Chinese were buying up a lot of the land in Detroit. Most of the buyers were buying sight unseen because they couldn’t get visas to travel to Detroit. Some did get visas, and they didn’t buy anything. I think the rest stopped buying too.

A while back Michael Moore was bragging about being an ethical employer at his movie theaters. He didn’t mention the millions in HUD money he got to open the places, the fact that they’re staffed primarily by volunteers, or the lawsuits pending over the movies he’s stealing.

This refers to the amounts of body fat in motion as the protesters waved signs and jiggled as they walked. It is unclear if some of the protesters were dribbling other protesters to ward off boredom and the chill.
