Krauthammer: Obama Acts Like He Wandered Into White House on a Tour and Discovered He Was President

Syndicated columnist Charles Krauthammer had some harsh words for Barack Obama Friday.

Appearing on Fox News’s Special Report, Krauthammer said, “It's as if this guy discovers everything late, as if he wandered into the White House on a White House tour and discovered himself in the Oval Office as president.”

(video at link)

BRET BAIER, HOST: What about this whole thing that his take, Charles, that government is not good at certain things, and we're looking to consolidate some agencies, and yet his administration, when describing the success that they're having now, says that the website is operating at private sector velocity?

CHARLES KRAUTHAMMER: And this is after he's argued for basically half a decade now in office that government is the font of American enterprise and success. If you built it, it’s not you, it’s the government.

It's just amazing how he right now in the middle, in the beginning, well, in the middle of his second term, he says there's a real problem here with the big agencies, some of which are outdated and not designed properly. So he discovers this three years after he decided to pass a bill that would consign a sixth of the U.S. economy – the entire ecosystem of American medicine - into the hands of precisely an outdated and improperly designed bureaucracy, i.e. HHS.

It's interesting how he discovers everything late. A month ago in that press conference he held where he apologized, sort of semi-apologized, he said he hadn't quite realized how hard it is to purchase health insurance. And this is, of course, after, three years after he nationalizes the purchase of health insurance.

And this reminds me of the time when after, remember he said that he discovered no-shovel ready jobs? But he discovers that after he passes a trillion dollar spending bill on the argument that there are all these shovel-ready jobs that will stimulate a depressed economy.

It's as if this guy discovers everything late, as if he wandered into the White House on a White House tour and discovered himself in the Oval Office as president.

He is the “Innocent Bystander” president. After five years he still behaves like he is on the outside looking in and campaigning for a chance to change things.

” it’s sort of touching the way Obama believes in the power of rhetoric — his rhetoric — in denying and trumping reality.”

If only he could be found aimlessly wandering the streets after discovering he isn't the president.

For someone who is the smartest human who ever lived, who is like, light years ahead of the rest of us, he really doesn’t seem to know very much of anything at all.

Krauthammer: Obama Acts Like He Wandered Into White House on a Tour and Discovered He Was President

I believe Rush Limbaugh has been saying this all along. He calls it the Limbaugh Theorem. The gist is that Obama causes a problem and then turns around and campaigns like he is the problem solver with a tiny bit of help from the MSM.

Actually, the Limbaugh theorem is that first, Obama creates the problem and then he's the only person capable of saving all of us from said problem. He's fighting for us and he's the only one doing so....he's our savior. IOW. It isn't even about fixing the problem (which rarely happens, anyway); it's about creating the perception that he's on the outside fighting for the little guy.
