Well we are not losing our insurance but apparently we are losing our doctor because of Obamacare. Went to a Christmas party tonight and was told by a friend who has the same doctor that her husband was in to see our doctor recently. There was a huge marketing push because the doctor is leaving and taking 600 patients with him. He is opening up a concierge service. $1800 a year and he will be your doc.
I knew our doc hated Obama and Obamacare but dang!!!!
This crap is going to effect everyone in one way or another.

My wife and I have different doctors. Both are doing exaactly as you describe - 600 patients with a yearly enrollment cost.

We are both joining as we believe:

If you like your doctor, you can keep your doctor

Because both our doctors want nothing to do with this trash heap of a government run system. We know both doctors well. They are trimming their clients to about 1/2 of what they serve now

Neither voted for the clown

I have a feeling that in the very near future, the docs that refuse to work with obamanation will be denied any hospital “privileges” which will put them out of business if they do not comply with the presidents “mandates”.

“$1800 a year and he will be your doc.”

Any idea what you get for the $1800? Or, is that the price of admission and its ala carte after that? 600 x $1800 is a wisp over a million, gross. Not bad

My brother has had this for years. It is called a “Cadillac Plan”. He pays $300 a month and the doctor will be on call at anytime. This is in addition is his normal fees. He lives in Palo Alto, CA., a high income area. I do not think you could get away with this in a poorer area.
