TOLEDO, OH (Toledo News Now) -
A west Toledo man is recovering after being shot during an attempted burglary overnight, but he will be charged for his involvement.
Police say Antione Garret, 34, and his girlfriend awoke to the sound of someone breaking into their home on Leybourn Avenue. When Garret heard the front window shatter, he ran downstairs and saw Randy Estrada, 21, climbing inside. Garret fired his handgun several times, until Estrada climbed back out the window and ran away.

Is he going to be charged with poor marksmanship? Need more range time.
I agree, that was very poor marksmanship! I’d think that this fellow might live to burgle/steal or kill another day...
Toledo sounds today just like it did in 1934 during the Communist-led labor strikes and violence. Seems like nothing every changes.
I can say with complete authority, that you are wise to have a round in the chamber if you travel around in Toledo, Ohio. The same is true in any area with a high concentration of n words of course.
The renter and girlfriend are not being charged.
Fear of death by existing bullet hole can be a powerful incentive...probably the smartest thing he did over the last 6 months.
Definitely more range time needed. If someone tried the same thing at my home, even my wife could place at least 3 out of 5 in a lethal area.
Wow! Could this be a black guy shooting a white Hispanic??
Mark this one down as a dog bites man type story!
Treybone Marlin is almost avenged!
