Well all that and the fact that Udall is hurting Udall in Colorado— those who knew him and were not pinko-fags did not vote for him. Those who did vote for him because they were beguiled by the local Media -some of them’ is waking up. But if Obama can “hurt “ anybody unless someone is really stupid— Then the the individual that supposedly is being “hurt” by Obama really has to be doing something Like riding them coattails —to warrant such sentiments.

During the 2010 Senate race, The Colorado Independent ran an article entitled “Suspect in 2005 Buck rape case said he knew it was rape,”.[7] The article, about a case Buck refused to prosecute in 2006, included a complete transcript of a tape between the victim and her attacker, including the following dialogue:

Victim: “You do realize that … it’s rape.”

Suspect: “Yeah, I do.”

Victim: “Like in a number of different ways, because I didn’t want to do it and because I was intoxicated and because I was afraid.”

Suspect: “Yes I do. I know.”

The tape, which Greeley police had the victim record during their investigation, was available before Buck made his decision not to prosecute the woman’s admitted rapist. According to a following article in the Independent, “Buck’s refusal to prosecute 2005 rape case reverberates in U.S. Senate race,” [8] the reporter provides a transcript of another tape of a conversation between the woman and Buck, in which “Buck appears to all but blame her for the rape and tells her that her case would never fly with a Weld County jury.”

Depends on what election you lose. Palin did not run for a state race after gov. So unknown how she would have done for that seat. I think she’d be competitive in Arizona. But you don’t run a guy who just lost the LAST statewide election for the same spot. That’s Harold Stassen mentality.

Buck is weak. He lost a race he should have won in 2010, this is a harder race.

But he has a huuuge edge in recent PPP primary polling (45-8 over his nearest challenger) and none of the other candidates look like world beaters (low name recognition).

Tancredo also leads in the Gov primary with 34% to 15% for SOS Scott Gesler and 9% for State Sen Greg Brophy (little known but polls best in general trailing Hincklepooper by only 1%). I think Buck probably CAN win but I have serious doubts Tancredo can.

More CO polling, GOP leads generic state leg ballot 47%-42%.

Odd situation. The democrats are clearly unpopular in the state but the GOP frontrunners are iffy.

I’d prefer fresh candidates even if they are not well known right now.

I have more faith that Tancredo can win the Guv race than Buck in the Senate.

I’m down on Tancredo’s chances. He’s comes off as unlikable and has high negatives, if he’s nominated the race will be about him as much as it will Hinclepooper’s terrible record.

It’s a joke that either he or Buck lead their respective primaries. That’s name recognition for you.

Make no mistake, I’m not thrilled to see either get nominated.
