Perry Banned Republican Parents From Seeing Her Perform At Obama Inauguration
Newbusters ^

If you were bestowed the honor to perform at a presidential inauguration, wouldn't you want your parents in attendance regardless of their political beliefs?

Pop diva Katy Perry doesn't think so, for she told Marie Claire in an interview published Monday that because her parents are Republicans that didn't vote for Barack Obama, they couldn't watch her perform at his inauguration in January:

Perry - My parents are Republicans, and I'm not. They didn't vote for Obama, but when I was asked to sing at the inauguration, they were like, 'We can come.' And I was like, 'No, you can't. I love you so much, but that—on principle.' They understood, but I was like, 'How dare you?' in a way."

How dare they want an opportunity to see their daughter perform at a presidential inauguration?

How dare they?

She would have goose-stepped perfectly with the Hitler youth. Were I her parent, I’d be ashamed of her sucking up to this Communist slime, and I certainly wouldn’t attend, or watch, for that matter. Bob

A young woman is granted the opportunity to sing at a president’s inauguration but she tells her mom and dad when they ask to come see her perform that they cannot because their politics are different than hers. Seems to me family (blood)should be stronger than mere politics. What a b***h. What a generation. Ya’ll know that Katy crappy was raised Christian and started out as a singer of gospel music. Or so I’ve heard.

Comrade obama is the first president I recall that’s made no attempt to be president to ALL the people.

I, on the other hand, do not require banning in order to avoid such a performance by Ms. Perry.

Her parents are Republican and Christian. They likely devoted time and resources to inspire and develop her “talent”. This is the thanks she gives them. Sad, sorry person this Katy Perry is.

Or she could have been raised by a couple drunken, drug-addicted felons who would have pimped her out to feed their drug habit. Today she would have a minimum wage job sweeping floors to feed her five children by five different guys who are either dead or in prison. Typical Republicans, that is. /s

Join the club Bobalu. I voted for Carter, though my reasons were different. Living in a small coal-mining patch town, everybody was dimocrat, including my parents. What did I know? I was 19 and dimocrat. I wised up at then end of those four years. I voted for Reagan both times. I still live with the guilt of voting for Carter.

Hopefully, after she gets some age and wisdom under her belt, she’ll open her eyes. My daughter-in-law voted for Obama. She was in college and everybody around her was a lib. She regrets it now. Voted for Romney next time around.

They learn.

If they have any brains, that is!
