Just like for anyone like Cruz, the opposition research will be branded without a hide. In other words, all hat and no cattle. It is not lost that the “allegations” came from a Democrat sore loser and a Progressive rag from Houston, home of Mars Landing expert Sheila Jackson Lee. The smartest woman in the CBC.

All I ever needed to learn about Cornyn was his being the leader of the National Republican Senatorial Committee (NSRC) for the 2010 elections. Specifically in how he handled the Florida Primary. Although Rubio has turned out to be a huge dissappointment on his promises about immigration, he was already months into his own announced campaign and Cornyn comes in just about an hour after Charlie Crist made his announcement to endorse Crist. Whenever I received the postage paid money begging notes from the NRSC, I sent them back color photocopies of Rubio bumper stickers.

The same kind of establishment picking game was a factor that same year in Utah. Despite both of those network attempts, the voters won out. Cornyn was also early for Dewhurst and Cruz was said to not have a chance but as we see, John has an amazing capacity to pick winners. This will be more of a national election and Texans have an amazing capacity to tell whether it is rain on their boots or not.

I refuse to vote for any sad-eyed GOP Rinos. Basta!

Jim Leach, now retired, thank goodness.

Jon Cornyn

John Boehner

If you can come up with more sad-eyed Republicans, post them.

I was Cornyn's re-elect county chair ...an in-name-only type deal. I called and asked that my name be removed during the campaign.

I don't remember what the vote was about; I remember telling them, "This is exactly what is wrong with D.C. and I don't want to support it...TAKE ME OFF!"

I think Stockman probably is and has always been, a loose cannon.

I have reached a point that I prefer loose cannons over mavericks and I'm fed up with the GOP establishment which Cornyn embraced and became a leader during his first term.

I remember when Cornyn was Pres. of the senate committee to re-elect incumbents and gave $$$ to Arlen Specter days before Specter changed parties.

IMO, Cornyn has supported John McCain more often than TEXAS and now is trying to lie his way out of the hole he has dug for himself.

Sometimes it just feels good to support a loose cannon. This is a feel good moment!...and I love it!

I don't remember what the vote was about...

Oddly enough, or not, that seems to be about the same time period I shucked cornpone as another lost cause. Like you, I don't recall any particular vote; it may have just been the final straw, whatever it was...

Great stuff! TARP is #2 on the list. Should maybe be #1. All of which reminds me what a POS cornpone either was or has become.

That’s what I was thinking... and was probably the last straw.
