Will check out Linda Vega.
I am in know way saying Stockman is the best candidate; only that he would be a significant improvement over Cornyn. There are a few things that concern me; including his last minute filing that prevented other viable candidates from filing for his current position. Thought that was a bit sleazy.
Several Articles from the past few hours regarding Stockman’s announcement
if anyone is interested in the comments thereon:

Stockman has been in out of political races since 1990 I beleive. His major win
was the 1994 defeat of Jack Brooks. He lost the next cycle to Nick Lamspon a
democrat. He’s made several attempts at various offices with his biggest
win being the defeat of Jack Brooks.
There are eight candidates in the Republican Primary and four in the Democratic Primary.
So thing will be interesting to say the least.
The following link gives the listing of those who qualified as primary candidates.
Select Travis County for statewide races.

“Cornyn was scared to death before he even had a challenger.
I bet he is petrified now! “
He has been running ads ad nauseum in Houston declaring he is a conservative champion.
I called his office and told his staff he was not principled conservative enough to back the junior senator from texas during his attempt to break Obamacare.
Cornyn wanted to rescue Schumer’s immigration bill.
Also he rescued Murkowski who voted like a Democrat.
Michael Berry (740AM) is on before Rush and is also a big supporter and already has a fundraiser scheduled with Stockman this Sat. at his Redneck Country Club.
The T.E.A. Party put Ted Cruz in Washington against heavy favorite "Dirty" Dewhurst and next year The T.E.A. Party will replace Rino Cornyn with Steve Stockman.
I would be scared for my job if I was a Rino!
