He’ll pull it off..I’m certain of it. Stockman is very well respected in Texas.

He gained his claim to fame by defeating Jack Brooks in the GOP sweep in ‘94. But, he lost the next election and did not hold office until he was elected in 2012. He’s not that well known. Those who know him, do respect him. I’m not so certain he will “pull it off” as you say. But, if he is the nominee, I’ll support him 100%.
Many folks I know have been waiting for a person with name recognition and ability to raise the funds to unseat the incumbent.
Remember...NOONE knew Ted Cruz. Virtual unknown.
Dewhurst had the financial backers and outspent Ted. Dewhurst was well connected with the power players within the republican party.
He lost in a runoff with Ted Cruz...thanx to various tea party groups and conservative grassroots support.
Stockman has been in out of political races since 1990 I beleive. His major win
was the 1994 defeat of Jack Brooks. He lost the next cycle to Nick Lamspon a
democrat. He’s made several attempts at various offices with his biggest
win being the defeat of Jack Brooks.
There are eight candidates in the Republican Primary and four in the Democratic Primary.
So thing will be interesting to say the least.
