If you define “Success” as “ increased dependence on Government Handouts” yeah, it’s a smashing success.
Does anyone know the process by which the applicants have signed onto Medicaid? Previously, there was scrutiny regarding income. With the waiving of the individual mandate and the income verification now on the “honor” system I wonder whether folks are signing onto Medicaid who would not previously qualified. Is there an annual re-qualification for Medicaid? For instance if someone needed it previously but then became employed? Are the income figures verified by cross checking social security numbers? It just seems odd that so many folks are now on Medicaid that previously were not. I figure that most folks in true need know where to get the help and were previously enrolled. This new wave of participants doesn’t make sense.
