Congressmen Want to Bring Obama to Court for Not Faithfully Executing Laws
The Weekly Standard ^ | 12/12/2013 | DANIEL HALPER

Congressman Tom Rice of South Carolina, a Republican, is sponsoring a resolution in the House of Representatives that would, if adopted, direct the legislative body "to bring a civil action for declaratory or injunctive relief to challenge certain policies and actions taken by the executive branch." In other words, Rep. Rice wants to take President Obama to court for not faithfully executing the laws.

"President Obama has adopted a practice of picking and choosing which laws he wants to enforce. In most cases, his laws of choice conveniently coincide with his Administration’s political agenda. Our Founding Fathers created the Executive Branch to implement and enforce the laws written by Congress and vested this power in the President. However, President Obama has chosen to ignore some of the laws written by Congress and implemented by preceding Presidents," Rice wrote in a letter to fellow House members to ask them to co-sponsor this resolution.

"This resolution allows the House of Representatives to bring legal action against the Executive Branch and challenge recent actions, inactions, and policies."

They can’t ALL be stupid, can they? If Harry Reid is not majority leader who care what he thinks after that, right?

Impeach Reid too.... while they are at it

Impeachment is the only recourse.

Yep, and I don't care if the senate convicts the muslim marxist or not. Although conviction, and a room at Leavenworth would be nice.

Unfortunately, you are correct. Impeachment would be "racist", so it will not happen, even though the grounds to justify removal from office are overwhelming. Unless Congress is willing to do its job (and we know the Dem Senate will not do its job properly), America has no recourse. The courts have no jurisdiction over this issue.

They won’t. Boehner has no intestinal fortitude.

This could be considered impeachment as long as certain rules are followed. Successful impeachment doesn’t necessarily mean removal from office does it?

The GOP controlled house has all the tools it needs to put heavy and deliberate scrutiny on Obama, The Rino’s just won’t go along.

Boehner recently made this statement.

"It was my job and my obligation to stand up for conservatives here in Congress," Boehner said Thursday of his original comments.

Here's your cue, Boehner. Announce your full-throated support for this.

Stand up and be a man, for a change.

Impeachment is the only recourse.

... followed by Senate conviction, indictment, trial, conviction, sentence, and execution of sentence for treason.

But the House has too many gutless cowards and traitors to even censure Traitorobama and his hell-spawned thugs.

The power of the purse strings to defund is a recourse. Unfortunately the founding fathers did not anticipate spineless congressional leaders like Boehner and Ryan. The founding fathers probably thought “It is almost impossible to get two thirds vote in the Senate to remove a corrupt president, but if we ever get a truly corrupt president the House of Representative would surely step in and use the purse strings.”

I think it is important to establish some court precedent that the POTUS cannot just willy-nilly go modifying and/or ignoring laws he does not like. But this case will not be resolved before Obama leaves office. He surely knows this.

So this will be all about restraining future Obamas.

At this point I thnk they could prolly successfully invoke the 25th Ammendment and remove Barky. Unfit for duty.

Hey, maybe we can just impeach his white half.

That wouldn't be racist ... would it?

0bama’s protected-class status will save him from impeachment.

Yes, I agree. Laying a paper trail of objections is the first step in a very long journey.
