We CAN make an amendment that allows STATE LEGISLATURES to impeach and remove federal court judges that are out of control.

No, I agree with you, no one in DC is going to do it. But I believe the wrath of the people is much more likely to be given vent via our state legislators. They are much, much easier to kick out and replace than US Senators and Reps. They are closer to us, and should fear us more (fear in the political sense.)

It is also in their interests to restore the balance of power back to the states. See my post 98

I do believe there should be some way to gain relief.

It would bother me to see liberal areas jettison judges so a guy like Obama could appoint more during his terms in office.

I am all for trying, but I am afraid the system has crossed over to the point of no return, also on the state level. At least in California it has.
