30 centimeters is about a foot which is what is looks like to me. I’ve never seen snow quite like that in my lifetime.

Centimeters are French metric inches. It takes two and a half of the silly things to make an ordinary, regular inch; conversely, if you need this many fingers to do arithmetic, the French metric system has an advantage.

Does this help you understand the conversion?



And if you want to convert centimeters into millimeters just take the number in centimeters and multiply by 10.

100cm = 1000mm = 1 meter.
