Winter came early in Indiana. The asphalt plants closed in early November. Usually they will stay open until December. The stormwater retention ponds have frozen over; that is about three weeks ahead of normal. We’ve had snow cover for about 10 days since the last snowfall, and are expecting more tonight. It may get into the low 40’s next week for a day or two, but that’s the normal high temperature this time of year.

All in all, we are 3-4 weeks early this year, and have been trending that way since October. It’s going to be a brutal winter. Isn’t it great that under 0bama’s plan, electricity rates have skyrocketed, as he promised?
