The CDC this year asked the Institute of Medicine to convene a committee to identify the most pressing research questions on gun violence.

What does the National Institute of Health and Center for Disease Control have to do with guns -- this is more government overreach, using YOUR tax dollars, trying to find something to justify curtailing our 2nd Amendment rights.

The only thing NIH should do is get rid of the $200 tax stamp for gun mufflers that can help shooters avoid hearing damage.

That's a health issue tied to gun laws.

Yes. The House controls the power of the purse. It is one of their powers given by the Constitution.

You would not know it from the article, but this is completely unconstitutional, a serious power grab directly by an imperial president.

When people in the Reagan administration (Oliver North) tried to work around this sort of thing by getting money form the Saudis to support the Contras, or by selling stuff the government owned, and using the funds to support the Contras, they got prosecuted and it was a “Constitutional Crises”.

President Obama does it, by himself, in full view.... not a peep.
