I was putting in a water heater for a man on disability not too long ago (charity work). He lives in one of those dilapidated trailer parks where all the homes are from the 1970’s and most of the people seem a little “off.”

I took my teenage son with me because it was a good lesson about just how different the fringes of our society are ... and how thin the line is between how we live and how they live. It always makes my blood run cold to see kids playing in those places.

It is sad to see toys in those yards, tipped over, left

along with boards, old garden hoses, maybe a laundry basket...

My father always took me because I was cheap labor.
