The EPAs highest-paid employee and a leading expert on climate change deserves to go to prison for at least 30 months for lying to his bosses and saying he was a CIA spy working in Pakistan so he could avoid doing his real job, say federal prosecutors.
John C. Beale, who pled guilty in September to bilking the government out of nearly $1 million in salary and other benefits over a decade, will be sentenced in a Washington, D.C., federal court on Wednesday. In a newly filed sentencing memo, prosecutors said that his historic lies are offensive to those who actually do dangerous work for the CIA.
Why? Considering the taxes he must have been paying, you'd think they would let it go.
“Why? Considering the taxes he must have been paying, you’d think they would let it go. “
That, I can’t tell you. My boss told me all I know about it. The employee was turning in two fulltime W2’s. I remember being surprised as I thought the same, if they’re getting taxes, what do they care. Perhaps it was because he was working on DOD defense contracts and obviously, somebody was getting shortchanged. It was pure fraud. (Do agents get rewards for finding fraud?)
He did less damage by not showing up. Too bad more government workers aren’t so considerate.
Typical of global warmers.
Look at Al Gore for example.
“The much bigger fraud is that the EPA is trying to convince us that AGW is real!”
Absolutely! In fact, this guy was relatively harmless in the big picture, actually downright helpful since he wasn’t actively involved in trying to perpetuate this multi-trillion dollar scam.
We’d be much better off if most “climatologists” were following his lead.
We have millions of people living just like this every day. SNAP, WIC, EBT, Obamaphones, public housing, Section 8, Farm subsidies, Green subsidies. Michelle Obama’s massive staff of throne sniffers. The mooch must have at least $1 million dollars in trashy boob belts purchased at tax payer expense. This guys only sin is he wasn’t an elected official.
