A classmate told NBC News that Karl Pierson was an avid reader of a notorious bomb-making bible, "The Anarchist Cookbook" and was packing a grudge against debate coach Tracy Murphy, the school librarian.
“Speech and debate was his life, and the fact that he wasn’t there crushed him a little bit and made him really tense and angry,” Joe Redmond, the team co-captain said.
He said Pierson and Murphy “did not get along, and whatever it was escalated to a death threat.”

The liberal/socialist disease has been genetically linked to the mother or father but occasionally can skip a generation or two and just show up.
Proper parenting and training can reverse the effects and children can grow up and become productive members of society with strong work ethics and personal responsibility traits which can weaken the gene that causes the liberal/socialist disease and prevent further recurrence in follow-on bloodlines.
In rare instances, removal of all entitlements and forced work ethics and personal responsibilities has shown a potential for reversing the effects the liberal/socialist disease but requires strict adherence to prevent relapse.
Liberals that get what they want are smug.

Real evil existed and it was this kid, it’s not like he was a good person suddenly infected with a parasite. This is demon theology - a misguided attempt by some Christians to excuse evil done by man by “blaming the demon”.
The logic is if you can claim to “get rid of the demon” through some claimed divine event, you can then be held blameless for whatever it is that you did.

No, this kid was simply a self-absorbed turd. The only good thing he did in life was kill himself. He was the demon.

No. People are the arbiters of right and wrong within themselves. If they lack the character to act in favor of what they know is right they perpetuate evil. Failing to do that consistently enough and you are a bad person.
No proxy need be involved. The only “demons” are simply bad people.
Demon theology is way too convenient and allows a pathway to forgiveness that ought not be there - it eliminates penitence - because why be penitent if you’ve cured the problem by “getting rid” of the demon?

While I do not doubt about the need for “free will” to decide to do evil, once demons find that opening, they can and will take control.

The kids was a pronounced socialist. At some point the parent’s influence comes into play here. I’d like to hear more about the parents before further commentary. If they promoted his views to any degree, there is plenty of red meat to chew on here.
Again, the media is whitewashing his avowed claim to being a socialist. Not a single reference was made to even allude to that self description all over his Facebook postings. By being that overt, either his parents are clueless, as in the Texas “affluenza” killer, totally removed from his life, or knowingly accepting and courting his Marxist bent.
To be an experienced and effective debater, one must practice, practice, practice. His parents had to know what was going on, everyone in school did.

What this kid did was terrible. What Saul did before he became Paul was terrible as well. Yet, you can see what happened there.
His parents probably indoctrinated this boy into violent hate of all things good... obama is their messiah so when you pray to evil... you become evil.

NBC must not have very competent reporters. It’s quite funny that they couldn’t find out that the guard that ended the shooting spree was armed. It’s also funny that NBC couldn’t find out that the shooter was a vocal communist sympathizer. Maybe NBC should stop in at the middle school journalism club and hire a couple of good reporters.
Once again, the parents are shocked.. SHOCKED that their kids could commit an act of violence. Never mind some of this little socialist’s schoolmates saw the rage bubbling up in him.
