What I want is a 40mm L60 Bofors gun like was shown on

I learned to fire, field strip and maintain one of those things when I was in the Naval Reserve back in the 1940s. Very nice gun. Don't know that I could afford one now, though.

I made the acquaintance of the Mk 2 Mod 0 quad 40mm Bofors water-cooled gun in 1969 on my ship that was part of the Mobile Riverine Force (TF-117) in the Mekong River Delta. From 1970 to 1976 I worked on and shot the Mk 3 Mod 0 air-cooled Bofors on PTFs.

The Bofors is the best heavy machine gun of its type ever built. Modernized 40mm L70 guns still serve with various armed forces around the globe in ground and maritime configurations.
