Thanks for that info, Kaslin. The snarkyness is unbelievable at times, and I guess we’re all guilty once in a while. But anyone who doubts that this country would be a very much better place today if GWB had been in charge needs their head examined.

Woudln’t it be great if we spent as much energy bashing the enemy as we do our own?

That’s why we’re doomed to failure.
Dems will coalesce around 70% consensus.
Here on FR, we shred each other over 10% disagreement.

This was a great segment today. It was a nice break from Obama.

Actually I thought it was a pretty tender moment. I respect W for it. Just a little jocularity on a less-than-serious subject. No need to get you knickers in a wad over it....

" News Flash. The Saudi Prince or king was 86 year old when he visited President Bush on his ranch. President Bush had the king hold his hand to help the elderly king walk better. There is no need to make fun of it."

President Bush doesn't give a hoot about what he looks like, he only cares about the "golden rule" - treating other people the way he wants to be treated.

I'm not a proponent of GWB's global or fiscal policies - but he, like his father, is 100% a person of class. If I had to address ObaMao as "president", I would throw up in my mouth. Not so With either GWB or GHWB.

See my post #14 on this thread...

BTTT

I’m still pondering how W got Jarrett’s undivided attention and smiles on the trip to Africa.

Remember, a President has to think 50 years ahead.

I believe W saw this socialist tsunami coming as early as 2004, and believed enough in America to let it come ashore and be an object lesson to the young skulls of mush.

That being said, if W has one ounce of antimony against Cruz, then W goes under the bus for me.

Can anyone imagine Obama flying a military jet?

It seems like the drones flip flop a lot. First it is Bush Derangement Syndrome. Then it is Obama Love Syndrome. Now that Obama has fallen from grace, Bush is popular again.

Bush is one of the few western leaders, who could pull that off, with no one able to seriously question his masculinity. He's simply being a gracious host, putting his guest at ease, by adapting one of his guest's cultural norms.

At the time it raised eyebrows but it is my understanding, as you stated as well, is that it is purely cultural.

Quite a list ‘tank. The ‘Relgion of Peace’ one and calling the Minutemen ‘Vigilantes’ was beyond foolish. I remember reading somewhere also that some of the Royal Saudi family were allowed to flee the USA imm. following 9/11, (While all planes were grounded), by Bush. I never found out if that was true. Anybody know?

It’s true about the Saudi Royal family members, including members of bin Laden’s family. It was well known at the time that he had a very large family (sisters, brothers, cousins etc.), almost all of whom had disowned him. Who denies it? Bush also used the word ‘Crusade’ in a speech following 9/11. What is your point?

Government money is the antithesis to charity. Government money is stolen property. The hhief who steals so that his family can have a nice TV is still a thief.
