I thank you for your comments and have no doubt of your sincerity. But, you are no Democrat, at least as the party is currently organized and operating. If you win, you will either find yourself coerced into voting as the party wishes, or you will be completely marginalized. They will destroy you, unless you agree to support their agenda.

When Democrats do support veterans, military retirees, and their families, they do so from a posture of condescension and sanctimonious expressions of superiority. Those stupid enough to volunteer to serve in our nation’s military are to be pitied and reviled, but as Democrats are wont to do, they will be cared for by the magnanimous elites provided that they support the party of the enlightened. Today’s veterans have done what no Democrat could ever do, sacrificed for the good of the country.

You, sir, are in the wrong party.

Thanks very much for the kind words, Shipmate! And thank you very much for your service!

America demands Justice for the Fallen of Benghazi!

O stranger, tell the Lacedaemonians that we lie here, obedient to their command.

Listen, O isles, unto me; and hearken, ye people, from far; The LORD hath called me from the womb; from the bowels of my mother hath he made mention of my name. (Isaiah 49:1 KJV)

Peace, ConorMacNessa,

It is going to take a bi-partisan push to get to the truth about Benghazi. Eleven months until that bi-partisan push starts!

Peace, Centurion316,

I thank you for your comments and have no doubt of your sincerity. But, you are no Democrat, at least as the party is currently organized and operating.

Thank you for giving Me the benefit of the doubt (others here don't). As My signature says, I'm not a modern Democrat. I'm old school Democrat!

If you win, you will either find yourself coerced into voting as the party wishes, or you will be completely marginalized. They will destroy you, unless you agree to support their agenda.

I expect pressure. I have integrity. If Ted Cruz and Mike Lee can handle the Beltway pressure-cooker, I'll do fine. At worst, I'll be in good company.

Today’s veterans have done what no Democrat could ever do, sacrificed for the good of the country.

Well, I served with both Democrats & Republicans overseas and we all did our part. All veterans make sacrifices above and beyond and should be treated with the respect they have earned.

You, sir, are in the wrong party.

Please, don't call Me, "Sir." I don't outrank you. 8^)
I'm just a concerned citizen answering the call. I've been told I'm in the wrong party before and I'm sure you won't be the last to say so. I believe fervently in the founding principles of the Democratic Party. I intent to restore those principles. After Speaker Boehner's attacks on them, I'm sure that Tea Partyers feel that they may be in the wrong party.

Jet Jaguar - an update. This is the forth or fifth Congressman to issue a statement as of yesterday.

Congressman Ted Yoho is a Republican from the 3rd Congressional District of Florida.

A message from Congressman Ted Yoho

"Additionally, last week I cosponsored legislation that would repeal the provision in the resolution that would affect military pensions. In order to offset that repeal, this legislation would tackle child tax credits that are being sent out fraudulently. By ensuring that recipients have proper Social Security Numbers, we can cut down on fraud and save billions of dollars. That money can then be used to reinstate any effect this legislation had on military pensions. Also, Congress will ensure that retired pay for disabled veterans are not affected as well as those who receive survivor benefits. Finally, I am working on my own legislation to make sure there is parity among any changes to veteran's pensions and Members of Congress and the Administration's pensions. If there is a change to veteran's pensions, so too should there be one for Members of Congress. We have a responsibility to live by the laws we pass. As these bills move forward, rest assured I will keep you informed."

I don't know what the final outcome will be, but I know this. I have a pretty good feel for reading political winds.

The outrage of what Congress did to the military, disabled veterans, and retired military has only begun.

Our elected masters are figuring just that out.
