"Please, no pictures, no autographs," used to be a cocky way of announcing to friends and family that something special had made you a big star for a day. Now it sounds as if President Obama has taken the joke seriously. Mainstream news organizations are fed up.
According to an article published on Nov. 21, 2013, by McClatchy DC, a group of the largest news organizations lodged a complaint about how the White House continues to block the press. A blackout of Obama photos, unless taken by real news photographers, is being organized.

Arguably, that kind of photo control surrounded President's under-reported vacation he enjoyed alone with Reggie Love last February. The vacation followed Love's resignation as deputy political director to Mr. Obama after compromising photos of Love engaging in homosexual acts had been widely circulated on the web.
Since it has long been rumored that press corps whispers of a homosexual relationship between Love and Obama were spreading, it is unlikely the press was surprised when they found themselves banned from covering the vacation. Perhaps this is a case of the White House being afraid the press would deliberately attempt to take provocative photos that might ignite further suspicions something more was going on in the Obama, Love relationship than mere friendship.
Regardless, the press was reported to be "furious" that their access was blocked that weekend.

“Hats off to a press that’s reached down and discovered they have a pair...”
Too little too late. They are just making room for Hillary’s run in 2016.
I had to check if this was the Onion... holy cats, the press just outed zero.
