I love Sarah Palin, but she’s wrong this time, as are many others. There is no free speech problem here. A&E has the 1st Amendment right to broadcast what they see fit, and Phil Robertson (a good man) is free to speak as he sees fit in whatever venue will have him.
The First Amendment says “Congress shall make no law,” not “A&E shall put your speech on television.” Otherwise I could claim that MY free speech rights are under attack because A&E hasn’t given me a TV show.
I’m hoping that Conservatives and Christians just flood A&E with negative messages for their suspension of the guy for voicing his personal opinion in a magazine with little readership. ......It wasn’t stated on A&E, so viewers didn’t see or hear what he said.
A&E is now afraid of the approx. 3% of the population, when the Robertsons on Duck Dynasty are bringing in big bucks? Are the idiots at A&E really that stupid???
Go out and buy a Duck Commander duck call, even if you don’t hunt ducks! :)

I think there is a SINGULAR response to this whole issue, and that is in re-printing EXACTLY what he said. Rather than focusing on the one part that the gays want to be up in arms about, post the reply with the entire text, and include his reply statement about the controversy.

How long did it take for A&E to cave? About four seconds. Wonder how many folks in the privacy of their own thoughts have exactly the same sentiments as Brother Robertson? Way more than one would suspect I think. The American people have been cowed into silence.
My pastor is Black and have said similar in the pulpit. Waiting for the gay activists to protest outside Black churches!
I’d like to see the rest stand behind Phil and quit A&E. Another network would pick them up in a heartbeat.
She is right again and what Phil Robertson said in the magazine interview is totally right also.

If a gay male star of another TV show were to say in an interview, say with Out or Advocate, “I don’t get the whole vagina thing! What is up with those? Give me a good penis and balls every day, ha ha ha ha!”
Would he be fired by his network, or would people cover their mouths in mock shock and laugh delightedly? You KNOW you know the answer.
While I don't know that much about Duck Dynasty, it has become apparent that no one is safe from the Lavender Mafia.
