Too bad I need my retirement check. Worked for Martin Marietta/lockheed Martin for 36 yrs. MMC went to crap when lockheed foisted the buy out. LMC has had a SSDP policy in effect for years. That along with the constant bombardment of “diversity” training wore thin REAL quick but was mandatory. Lucky our group was small and we managed to have a good time with it and occasionally the trainers would leave shaking their heads. Miss my work buds, don’t miss the “diverse” atmosphere or the management two faces. DEFINITELY miss the real pay check. Waiting for the retiree medical shoe to drop.

Well, Lockheed recently won the GPS contract from Boeing.

Boeing was the incumbent and was doing an awesome job, but pissed off the administration by wanting to build the Dreamliner in a non-union shop

While Lockheed curried favor with the administration by delaying announcement of their crappy-economy related layoffs until after the 2012 elections (in violation of federal law).

So, if you can find a way to boycott GPS...:)

I’ll take your lack of a reply to my request for proof of your allegation as a retraction in kind.

I understand what you're saying. But this phenomenon of the majority of big captalists, Fortune 500 turning fascist ---practicing "regulatory capture," being controlled, cosseted, coordinated, managed, rescued, subsidized, "stimulated" by the govt, rolling around from top to bottom to top again like professional whores, lovin' it ---

Is it practically inevitable, once they get to a certain size?

Get in the sack, or get out?

Is this a flaw of capitalism, that the various pushes, shoves and nudges of the system will, in time, finesse every one of them into willing fascism?

Willing, or willing enough?
