Ontarios Progressive Conservative leader has announced some of his plans to help fund public transit in the province.
And Tim Hudak says, despite what the governing Liberals think there isnt a need to boost taxes to get the money to expand transit and ease gridlock in the GTHA.
Hudak says instead, the P-Cs would freeze implementation of full-day kindergarten and sell off government buildings such as the L-C-B-O headquarters and the Ontario Power Generation head office in Toronto.
The P-C leader says forget looking at a hike in the gas tax to fund transit: as the Wynne government suggests. He says his party would create a two-billion-dollar a year trust for transit funded by changing Ontarios spending priorities.
I heard this news piece just now, and am completely struck by the "solution-based leadership" by someone with the name Hudak. Do I need to start considering immigration to Canada to get away from socialism? That is scary, eh? right?
Canadians feel free to comment on this guy and his plans. Sounds like common sense stuff to me.
heh had to retype headline due to cut/paste caps... you know what I meant. I kin speel reel gud sometimes.
Progressive Conservative?
Now there is a mixed up political party!
Sounds like Mitt Romney or Karl Rove.

The name comes from a 1940s-era merger of the Progressive Party with the Conservative Party.
