Wow. How about we ignore the context? He prefaced it by indicating that it was his own personal experience and observation within the community in which he lived and worked.
Typical liberal leap over the canyon of logic.
I'm old enough (just barely) to remember another firebrand activist who did this as well AND condemned the LBJ notion of the Great Society and welfare as being something that "would make slaves of the black man, again."
That would be the Reverend Martin Luther King. He was a great man, but definitely not the saint he's made out to be by history. But he surely had his moments. Too bad the liberal media forget most of the good ones.
'The professionally offended'
I hope you don't mind if I use that because it is awesome!
When a protected class is created, by default it creates an unprotected underclass. All individuals are supposed to be equal under the law. They aren’t.
If you’ve observed politics in any depth you darn well know who created these special groups, and it is even more obvious to observe what ethnic, gender and religious group has become the unprotected targeted underclass.
Or you could just look at what group is underemployed by a media, that coincidentally is always scouting to attack targeted opportunities in said underclass such as Robertson.
Looks like they attached the wrong Headline to the story.
I don’t see anything that Phil said that even implies Blacks were happier before Civil Rights.
Must have been an accident./ s
You’re joking, right?
That everyone should have exactly the same rights and be treated the same under the law regardless of economic status, race, religion, sexual orientation, political views, sex, age, etc.? Not joking. That’s the way or law was founded. You might do some studying.
Why should some people have more rights than others?
I think you are the one who needs to do some studying.
Taking that problem to court could have solved that inequity.
Awesome. My Dad lives in Winnsboro. Good to see people from where I’m from on here.
