ANY network would kiss your butt to bring you on board.
I don't think A&E will be taking any offers for a buyout of the contract. And I think that if those three episodes in the can are actually aired, those will be the last of the Duck Dynasty. I think if A&E was going to back down, they would have done so when the first facebook group exceeded half of their average audience for the typical A&E program.
Now with two Phil Robertson support pages on Facebook each over a million likes, it is all down to figuring out exactly how much money they're going to have to give back to advertisers.
The real proof will be in tomorrow's ratings numbers for the Duck Dynasty marathon. If it is lower than the average weekly repeat, A&E will quietly start shopping around Duck Dynasty for syndication. If not, they'll be touting about the public’s support, demonstrated in the only meaningful number: number of eyes watching the network.
GLENN BECK WANTS THEM ON BLAZE. That would accomplish two good things.
Of course A&E's gay Gestapo will double down, and look to have someone in court for hate crimes.
I am getting old. Let's start this fight for real.
Any nose-in-the-air conservatives (and you know who you are) who think this dust up over a reality television show isn’t important have lost their minds. This IS a battle in the culture war. It’s a pretty significant one, due to the high profile nature of the subjects. The result of this is now quite important.
