I asked a lib if he would compromise and accept $12/hr. He said no, it must be $15.
I said why not make it $20?
He mulled this over for a minute, then said no, $15 was right.
I joked that we should have a “maximum wage.”
Light bulb!
He thought this was a great idea.
Libs defend the $15 on the theory that it’s about where the peak minimum wage from 1968 would be today of continually adjusted for inflation.
(of course doing so would have driven inflation much higher than it was, to that’s an unproveable assertion.
