Today's Melissa Harris-Perry show on MSNBC, with Joy Reid guest-hosting, displayed a "Pope" poster of Pope Francis in the Fairey-style "Hope" poster of Barack Obama made famous in 2008.
The show featured a long segment analyzing the Pope's critique of capitalism. What's the message of the poster and of MSNBC's decision to display it? That Pope Francis and Barack Obama share a critique of capitalism? That Barack Obama is himself a Pope-like figure? Something else?

MSNBC displays “Pope” poster in style of Obama “Hope” poster. Ping to Today show list.
As an aside, particularly knowing what many of us knew then and what we certainly know now, isn’t there something sinister about Obama poster?
A - Because there wasn't enough room for the word "CHOOMER".

Not sure if Harris-Perry is mentally ill or is just plain evil. Has to be one or the other..
The iconography of this administration has forever ruined some font styles for me. I get a bad visceral reaction to them now. When Obama was running for office the first time, my daughter, who had been a history/art history major, remarked on the creepy nazi-like style that his campaign was using.
