"....if the person had said something about interracial marriage, or said that we should put all children with disabilities in institutions, would we still say, Well, thats free speech, were okay with that opinion? And I think the answer is no." WRONG!!!!! Dear Clay, everyone has a right to have their own opinion. Not everyone will, or is expected, to agree with that opinion. Get over it.

Why should anyone accept gays any more than they accept kleptomaniacs.

I think the thing that frustrates me the most is that there have been people whove come out today and said, Its free speech, its free speech, Aiken continued. And I would ask them
if the person had said something about interracial marriage, or said that we should put all children with disabilities in institutions, would we still say, Well, thats free speech, were okay with that opinion? And I think the answer is no. Aiken is another leftist who absolutely cannot connect any dots! Whether or not Aiken would like to believe, men and women are NOT freely interchangeable; they are different. Pretending that same sex union is equal to heterosexual union is nonsense.
What a disjointed, inappropriate observation! Aiken should go back to doing whatever it is that he does for a living, instead of making foolish statements that he cannot support.

The whole deal with “right to free speech” is that those who say things with which you may or may not agree, still have the right to SAY them.
That such speech should be free of consequences, however, is nowhere protected by the Constitution or ever deduced from the New or Old Testament. Actions that result from carelessly delivered speech, like shouting “Fire!” in a crowded theater, when there is in fact no fire, should and does earn the person bearing false witness great retribution, for the mischief created needlessly.
Responsibility goes along with the right, and what Phil Robertson stated is far more responsible than the denunciation by Clay Aiken. And it certainly is in register with kind of upbringing that the Robertson Clan has adhered to al their lives. Clay Aiken has made a long assumption that HE, personally, was the target, and allowed no latitude within the span of culture to recognize the difference.

We have a President who said (diplomatically*) that seriously old people should take a pain pill and die already.
The Left agreed.
I don’t think they’re in a position to object to praise of pointless unsanitary practices.
* - “diplomacy” is the art of telling someone to go to Hell such that they’ll look forward to the trip.

because I'm not an anti-American commie POS, Clay.

Wonder if he secretly has hots for the Dynasty guys. Can’t PROVE it, but it would be a common pattern. And psychological research shows too that homosexuals usually like the straightest looking partners they can find. The famous song is “Macho Man” not “Queer Wimp” for a reason.
That said, I consider it more sad than fury-worthy, except for fury against Satan himself and the delusions he creates.

I wouldn’t exactly say, Clay, that people are more accepting of gays. The only way gays can get their way it appears is through the courts and negative PR. That’s not exactly acceptance.

What exactly does he mean by “acceptance”?

Clay needs to take a couple of Bible courses. Phil Robertson’s statements were firmly rooted in Scripture. His remarks, taken in total (not out of context) clearly demonstrate that neither he or his family condemn those who choose to live outside the tenets of the Holy Bible; they leave to the Good Lord.
The moral relativists and the PC crowd have turned this into a circus, needlessly. Of course, this is distracting a significant portion of the electorate from the continuing debacle that is 0bama-don’t-care.
