If I have nowhere to go, I can always stay home.

If I and thousands of other stay home the GOPe loses.

Boehner and the others need to think on that.

Conservatives do have some where to go. It's called the Convention Of States. Article V is the answer to this problem.

It's time we accept the GOP is just as in favor of big oppressive government as is the left. In fact they are one in the same. Their only interest is to perpetuate the illusion that they oppose the socialist agenda when if fact they are all for it.

Absolutely right. The thinking of the Republican Party is like this:

Suppose there are two restaurants. One is very good: The Elephant House. The other is okay: The Donkey Patch.

The Donkey Patch has a huge scandal for food poisoning when a lot of people get sick and it gets in the news.

So the Elephant House restaurant has a huge opportunity to grow its share of the market.

But the Elephant House uses the occasion to lower its standards and sell equally bad meals, since they figure they can get away with in light of the food poisoning scandal.

Instead of using the activity to sell high-quality food and dominate the market, the Elephant House decides to see how much they can get away with by lowering the standards to being almost as bad as the restaurant with the food poisoning scandal.

“If I have nowhere to go, I can always stay home.”

That’s the problem. You’re way ahead of the curve at staying at home and spreading your poison.
