But you are using a straw argument via over simplification. Nothing is the "same thing" any more…incumbents are in trouble in primaries, which NEVER happened before about 2009. The Tea Party is active, which was launched in 2009. While there is resistance from the GOP e, there is a palpable and powerful force confronthing them….ala Cruz, Paul, Lee, etc…..and never before have we seen a single piece of legislation that will effectively end the country…Obama CAre….signed in 2010. NOTHING NOTHING NOTHING is the same.

You underestimate the resistance of the GOPe to a possible internal takeover of the party by conservatives. I saw it firsthand here in VA with the Governor's race. The GOPe would rather lose elections than win with a conservative. They control most of the money and that has major consequences politically.

Obamacare won't end the country. It will just lead to more government control and a decline in the quality of healthcare in this country. The Dems with help from some Reps will make band-aid fixes to muffle the political impact. And the costs of the program will prove to be much greater than estimated, similar to Medicare and Medicaid. It is just another entitlement program that will add to the $90 trillion we already have in unfunded liabilities.

So with due respect, your entire argument is a false choice. I will join Cruz, Lee and others in the good fight, fully realizing many of our enemies also wear the "R" - I get it….that;s hardly a news flash or an original thought.

The GOPe runs the party. They will not cede control to the conservatives. And how many so-called conservatives do we really have in Congress. When you have Rubio, Ryan, and Paul supporting some form of amnesty, are they really conservatives? The 14 GOP senators who helped pass the Gang of 8 bill and the nine who supported the Ryan-Murray budget bill should give you an idea as to how difficult it will be to actually control the Senate or the House for that matter when it comes to passing a conservative agenda. Boehner has violated the Hastert Rule 8 times, mostly on budget issues.

I don't see my argument as being based on a false choice, but rather, on political reality. Denial just ain't a river in Egypt.

I don’t underestimate it at all…..I’ve written about it for 20 years, and I see the openess of it now as a plus….one of those scabs that has to bust wide open before it can ever start to heal. It’s going to bust soon. It will get worse before it gets better….but it will get better.

And the GOP e does run the party, but not totally. As Cruz showed, the insurgents can dominate the story at times.

Moreover, nothing is the same as it was….starting in 2009, the status quo of the last 40 years or so before then started to change. Things just are not the same, period.

I think some of the more patient amnesty supporters are waiting for the GOP Senate majority to pass the McConnell-Boehner super amnesty of 2015.

Whether the GOP has 49 or 51 Senators I dont see much difference in blocking Obama. He will veto a repeal and will not care about the Congressional Democrats. Michelle Obama is not running for congress or president in 2016. His last 2 years will be him thinking he is exposing the racism of white Republicans and Blue Dog turncoats.

If something happens to Scalia or Kennedy I dont trust Murkowski or Susan Collins to block a 5th gun grabber.
