In Romans 1, this is shown to be a sin that is also a judgement for what is stated in verses 18 and 19.
I don’t recall any other sin listed in the Bible that is a judgement for “another sin”.
This one is a judgement for verses 18 and 19. That’s what makes it unique, plus the fact that it debases a human being, in himself or herself - more than anything does - as a human being.
This is God making a human being as LOW and as DEBASED as could ever be done with ANYTHING. This debases a human being to the point where they are just about “not even a human being” any longer - that’s how bad it is.
Again, no other sin is like that.
That is very good. Sometimes they judged.
If Cracker Barrel wants to put a bugger up my ass they better judge me first.
I might make them pretend they can use it.
I like the way A.E. Wilder-Smith explained this uniqueness.
God makes plain to all men his existence through that which is made. When men respond with either "I refuse to see it," or "I see it, but I don't care," they trigger the "giving over" Paul speaks of.
In short, Atheism, and more importantly, "functional" Atheism are the triggers to this judgement.
While there are few actual Atheists in this country, the number of Functional Atheists is overwhelming.
