House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi said Monday she’ll push for a vote for more unemployment benefits and said the additional $25 billion cost should be tacked onto the deficit rather than paid for by cuts elsewhere.

On a conference call with fellow House Democratic women, the California lawmaker said Republicans acted “cruelly” when they went home for a three-week vacation earlier this month without approving more weeks of unemployment payments for the long-term jobless.

As many as 1.3 million people will lose benefits on Saturday, when enhanced benefits expire.

Republicans have said they would consider taking up a bill, but will insist it be “paid for” by other spending cuts or future reductions future entitlement programs. But Mrs. Pelosi said with the poor economy, the money should be tacked onto the deficit.

Surprise!

Is Paul Ryan so politically STUPID he could not see this coming when he negotiated the GOP budget surrender?

The Democrats and MSM will be right back in shrieking, vicious “Frontal Assault Mode” in January.

Democrat goals?

Restore Food Stamp cuts, restore unemployment cuts, and raise the minimum wage.

Republicans will be maligned 24-7 as cold hearted greed heads.

Republicans gain NOTHING when they compromise with the Left.

NEVER!

Go Nancy,
What? Only $25,000,000,000 for those poor (long term?) unemployed for another 6mo.?, 3mo.?, 1yr?, whatever. We got a whole $6Billion by just cutting military pensions for only 10 years, lets just soak them military guys some more. Yeah, that’s the ticket! /S

At this point, with the TRILLION$$ being given to Democrat-supporting Wall Street Bankers to prop the Stock Markets, I say What-The-Hell, why not??

It’s not like any of it is going to get paid back, anyway. Might as well hasten the crash.

Responsible people aren’t motivated enough to get off their asses and protest any of it, so I’m close to no longer giving a damn.

3 years ago she said “Unemployment checks are the fastest way to create jobs.” After 3 years why do we need to have unemployment benefits. We should be in high cotton.

Wasn’t she also the Pay as you go person back in 2007?

Nancy Pelosi, 2007:

“After years of historic deficits, this 110th Congress will commit itself to a higher standard: pay-as-you-go, no new deficit spending. Our new America will provide unlimited opportunity for future generations, not burden them with mountains of debt.”

What's the difference? It's only Chinese money anyhow.

Oh, wait a minute. The Chinese stopped playing our lending scam and now the Fed is printing money to cover our own worthless debt paper. What could possibly go wrong with a financing plan like that?

It’s taxation without representation - People (future generations) are being taxed who don’t have a vote on that taxation.
