Hispanics are a large and diverse group, Latinos are a large but indentifiable group. The majority of Hispanics in CA are Latino and as a group (not a race) they do not excell in the area of education. Due to their large percentage of the CA population, this is not good regardless of why they underperform. This is an unsustainable trend.
These illegal alien kids are being taught in Spanish and so they are in different classes than the American kids learning in English..
