We need answers to Rush questions
Chicago Sun-Times ^ | 26 dec 2013

U.S. Rep. Bobby Rush has served in Congress for 20 years, fighting for his South Side constituents and against injustice wherever he sees it.

And for that, Rush deserves our gratitude.

But no one — particularly a public servant accused of using campaign funds to subsidize his church, of squandering grant dollars and of being too cosy with companies that rely on his support in Congress — is above reproach.

A serious and somber accounting of Rush’s alleged misdeeds is in order.

The Chicago Sun-Times this month published a Better Government Association investigation of Rush, covering his campaign spending, his personal finances and the failure of a nonprofit that Rush founded.

I for one will not be getting my shorts in a wad over this. Bobby Rush is after all a member of Congress, the most corrupt group of men & women in North America if not the world.
Th line about fighting for his constituents and against injustice is just that, a line. Like the rest, he became a politician for the money and the power. One begets the other. Now he has made someone, probably a little more rich and powerful and we get this expose’.
Just business as usual.

Shocking to see a Chicago newspaper going after a Chicago politician, even one with a known history (e.g. Black Panthers). Don’t expect anything to come of it. Remember Zero’s still President, and Illinois is a deep blue state. Democrats never have to pay for their criminal or unethical acts unless they get cross wise of their own power structure.

The Chicago Sun-Times published a Better Government Association
investigation, covering Bobby's campaign spending, his personal finances, and his nonprofit's flopola.

Cong Bobby Rush.

Bobby's just another Chi/pol who considers public office an "investment." The return on investment comes when the pols get access to all that govt money. BTW, a non-profit is the plus-perfect way Pols extort money for political favors, and siphon off tax-free money for themselves.

AND GET THIS Chicago "Investor Pol"---Mayor Rahm Emanuel---wants to kill stealth council accounts
Chicago Tribune | 10/25/13 | Hal Dardick / FR Posted by Libloather

Mayor Rahm Emanuel wants to deep-six a stealth City Council account that some aldermen used to put family members, campaign operatives and those with political baggage on the public payroll without detection until the Tribune exposed the practice.

The $1.3 million secret fund, which dates back decades at City Hall, is zeroed out in the 2014 budget proposal the mayor unveiled Wednesday.

Mayor Rahm's change, however, will save only about $6,000. That's because the money is being spent to create a "council office of financial analysis" and to beef up regular aldermanic expense accounts — which some aldermen also have used to hire relatives, lease office space from their own relatives and even lease luxury cars.(Excerpt) Read more at chicagotribune.com ...

===================================================

THIS MADE ME LAUGH OUT LOUD shortly after quitting his powerful WH job as Obama's COS, Rahm held a presser declaring he "just remembered" he really, Really wanted to be Mayor of Chicago.

Then Rahm announced he had magically "raised" $10 million for his campaign in "just a matter of weeks." (waiting for hysterical laughter to die down).

Ya gotta wonder how much Wall Street Rahm wired offshore when Obama put him in charge of the entire US Treasury. Read on.

CONNECTING THE DOTS: Obama's stranglehold on Treasury via COS Rahm Emanuel's dual role

THE TARGETING PAPER TRAIL BEGINS: Soon as they occupied the WH, Obama and the Chicago con artists (a) took control of the US Census; (b) Obama placed his COS Rahm Emanuel in control of the US Dept of the Treasury (the IRS).

THE SMOKING GUN---WSJ REPORT--On Jan 20, 2009 Timothy Geithner was appointed Obama's Secy of the Treasury. But within three weeks, the Obama White House tightened its grip on Treasury. Obama put his COS, Rahm Emanuel, in charge of Treasury---Rahm Emanuel's dual role was an unusual move.

When he got to Treasury, WH COS Rahm Emanuel was so involved in the inner workings of the Treasury that the phrase "Rahm wants it" had become an unofficial mantra among subservient govt staffers, prostrate in obeisance, scurrying to accede to Rahm's wishes, according to Treasury government officials. Reported by WSJ / 05/31/09

Took ‘em 20 years to figure this guy out? Well shucks. The “lyin’ king’s” only had 5, so no wonder they haven’t figured him out yet. No/low info voters with their hands out win every time. I guess the concept of “other peoples money” is not something they understand.

And in other news.

Chicago, Cook County Sheriff says he needs a gun to protect himself and family.

Sheriff Dart - Hypocrite
What a jackass this guy is:

It is not unusual for a sheriff to be carrying a gun. In fact, it would be expected in some places.

But when Cook County Sheriff Tom Dart recently started carrying one on his belt, it was a bit unusual. So WBBM [...] asked him about it.

Dart – a former state lawmaker known for policy as much as anything else — said he’s been getting some unwanted attention, unfortunately.

The sheriff has had his life threatened.

“It’s been impressed upon me that I have five little kids, and I need to be around a bit,” Dart says. “So, I can’t just cavalierly just blow everything off.”

“It’s a little bit of a wake-up call, unfortunately,” he added. “I have no delusions of my abilities.”

The gun goes with the job, he says.

Really? “...no delusions of [your] abilities”? So a gun is an equalizer? You’re going to use it to protect yourself and your loved ones should some of these “threats” manifest themselves in some way, shape or form? But regular citizens shouldn’t be able to have that same protection, many of whom don’t have drivers or bodyguards and happen to work in/travel through/reside in neighborhoods that are far less safe than anything Dart has experienced. What makes you so special Tommy?

Not that we believe there has been a threat - this stinks of Ed Burke Disease. Have you ever carried one before Tommy? You disgust us - one set of rules for you, one for all the unconnected people.

Oh, he’s delusional all right. What an asshat. “A gun for me but none for thee.” Common peons just aren’t valuable/important enough I guess.

And former Black Panther Minister is like his buddy Jesse Jackson. He has never seen a TV camera that he doesn’t like.

Bobby Rush proposes gun legislation in honor of slain Chicago teen
Friday, January 04, 2013
The Chicago high school student was gunned down May 10, 2007.

January 4, 2013 (CHICAGO) (WLS) — Illinois Congressman Bobby Rush has re-introduced gun legislation named for slain Chicago teenager Blair Holt.

One of the things “Blair’s Bill” would accomplish is creating gun identification numbers.

Rush said that would help law enforcement track guns.

——————In 1968, Bobby Rush went AWOL from the Army and founded the Illinois chapter of the Black Panther Party. The Chicago BPP was full of gangsters. Rush would serve time in prison for an illegal weapons conviction.

When President Barack Obama was elected president, Rush wasted no time calling for a black man to be put in his Senate seat.

He’s a racist through and through.

Which is why this didn’t surprise me a bit:

Rep. Bobby Rush (D-Ill.) is highly critical of a proposal by Sen. Mark Kirk (R-Ill.) for mass arrests of 18,000 Gangster Disciples, telling the Sun-Times on Wednesday that Kirk’s approach is “headline grabbing” and an “upper-middle-class, elitist white boy solution to a problem he knows nothing about.”
