I have to agree with you.

There is only one thing that will correct what is wrong in this country, the hand of GOD. If there is not a huge revival, nothing we do will matter.

When the people of a nation draw near to GOD there is liberty, when the people of a nation fall away from GOD there is tyrrany in the land.

ObamaCare is such a great argument for a COS.

If you respect and admire the constitution of the Framers, you should support an Article V amendment convention.

State legislators aren't blind. They know very well that our freedoms are swirling into the vortex of consolidated power in Washington DC. The only way to possibly reverse this is a return to federalism, to reintroduce the states back to the senate.

There is a lot of info at the COS website that will quell your fears. At a minimum, there is nothing to prevent you from contacting your state rep and senator, to urge them to use the gift of our Framers, and stop the madness in Washington.

There are some very good infiltrators out there. Look at some of our “conservative” politicians who suddenly become “progressive” on issues after they are elected.

How do you keep them from rising to leadership positions is COS as they are doing already in politics?

I've been in contact with the FL state coordinator and he has taken measures to do just that. A troll will not get very far. Check out the conservative leadership experience of those at the top of COS. These people are used to combat with leftists.

The people who are afraid of a COS are apparently unaware of what it is. It cannot change one letter in The Constitution. It can only propose amendments.

All amendments must be ratified by 3/4 of the States. Usually there is a time limit on how long an amendment can languish before it is removed from consideration. I think seven years is the norm. So, the convention can do no harm, it can only do good.

The upside is we have a chance to put our Federal Government in it's rightful place, working FOR us, not restricting our every move.

I understand your concerns. The Progressives have been explained to us for years. The same people to be removed from central power if this moves forward.

I encourage you to read a little more and see a runaway convention can not happen. At all!

Reason 1: states spell out specifically what is to be discussed
Reason 2: states can recall those that go off track
Reason 3: anything coming out of convention must be ratified.

Do you think the required number of states would send delegates to a convention to reclaim rights only to see a convention return mendments doing the opposite.

Seriously, check it out will not happen.

"Sorry pal. I listen to the founders."

Oh really? Maybe you should listen to James Madison in Federalist 43. It might help you understand what is going on with this movement.

Our constitution was created by men who pledged all they had to ensure our country could survive in a free state unlike the oppressive condition they had suffered under King George.

The purpose of this process they devised was to guard against an aggressive overtaking of our government by someone like Obama followed by a Hillary aided and abetted by a malleable congress lured to power and wealth and ready to see the country be enslaved as long as they can keep their place at the top.

"I support the convention but Colorado is controlled by Dems right now. I’m working on changing that so perhaps we can send a delegation in 2015 or later."

It might help you to know that Colorado had the strongest representation at the Mt. Vernon Assembly. You could start by showing those who were there your support.

Claims that this current generation of politicians can make it better are so idiotic that I simply cant think of the words to express how stupid this idea is

I've seen this argument before. Makes me wonder where all those other amendments came from.

The point remains: Article V is a part of the Constitution, written by the same people who wrote the rest of it.
